A.R.B.S. 16GA Galvanized Edge Blocking

HTL placed a continuous load normal to the ARBS 16 GA Galvanized Edge Blocking system.  HTL tested five (5) systems to failure as defined by TAS 111B of the Florida Building Code.  The average failure load for all specimens was 755.00 lb/ft with a standard deviation of 51.23 lb/ft which correlates to a maximum pressure of 862.85 psf.  The allowable load per Florida Building Code for roofing systems is 431.43 psf with a factor of safety of two (2) applied.

ARBS Parapet Wall Blocking

HTL placed a continuous load normal to the ARBS Parapet Wall Blocking system.  HTL tested five (5) systems to failure as defined by TAS 111C of the Florida Building Code.  The average failure load for all specimens was 776.00 lb/ft with a standard deviation of 45.05 lb/ft which correlates to a maximum pressure of 1330.29 psf.  The allowable load per Florida Building Code for roofing systems is 665.14 psf with a factor of safety of two (2) applied.
